Dax is 9 months old... and I've got a huge baby

Weight 25 lbs 4oz (97th percentile)
Length 31" (off the chart, higher than 97th)
Head Circumference 18.75" (95th percentile)

Clothing Size 24-month & 2T Shoe size of 4xw

Eating/Sleeping Nursing every 2 to 3 hours during the day, and eating 3 meals of solid foods. Sleeps 11 hours at night and 1 or 2 hours of a nap during the day.

Developmental Milestones Dax is crawling fast, pulling up on things, and can stand unsupported for brief periods of time.
He has two bottom teeth. He has pincer grasp. He claps his hands. Says "hi" "dada" and "mama" all in proper context.

Stuff baby likes Bucket swings at the park. Going fast (in carts, stroller, on "horsey" knee rides, etc.). Music. Books!

The other day, he crawled and got one of his books, then crawled, scooting the book along the floor, to me. Then he shoved the book against my leg, and he attempted to climb into my lap, looking up at me all adoringly.

At night, I realized that he'd somehow unsnapped and unzipped his footy pajamas. They were around his waist, so his top half was all bare skin and felt cold to the touch. Silly boy! Not sure how he did that. I mean, I know he loves unzipping zippers but he's never done it on his clothing before. He does untie his shoes (& ours!) whenever he gets the chance.

Since he learned how to crawl a couple weeks ago, I've stopped carrying him inside the house (this is why he's losing his chub rolls). I tell him to crawl to his highchair/changing table/bathtub and that's nice except for when he gets distracted by other stuff he sees. The other morning he wanted breakfast and crawled over and pulled up on his high chair with no prompting from me. I can't believe my baby has turned into this cute little crawler!

I really loving this age, he's such a delight! I love that he can actually communicate, sort of, what he wants or is thinking. He even has a cute little sense of humor. :) I'm fortunate to be his mother.

Amy, I had just noticed how TALL Ian was looking in church on Sunday. Looking a lot more like a boy and not at all like a toddler these days the way he used to look in nursery.
