This past Saturday was the last day of our 6-week baby swim class. I decided that, as fun as it has been and as much as little Dax enjoys it, that's enough swimming for now.
It's smack in the middle of Saturday and kind of prevents us from doing much on Saturdays. Also, while I enjoy him having water exposure, I'm not sure he's going to get anything more out of another class right away. He does get to practice every night in the bathtub. Unfortunately he learned how to kick really well at swimming class and now in the bathtub he soaks me because he kicks when he lays down in the tub to make his splash high.
So some final swimming pictures:
Dax likes to get people's attention. Once he has made eye contact, he immediately tilts his head to the side and gives them a huge open-mouth grin. It's adorable. Anyway, he did it to his swim instructor a couple of times. This last time, his swim instructor did it back to him - that's why this guy is looking goofy in the picture. :)
Oh, and I'm once again stranded at home due to car trouble. :( I'm a winter person and normally love almost every minute of it, but this year I'm really looking forward for nicer weather now that I have a baby - I want to go for walks and not worry about freezing him. Being stuck in the house gets old. My husband has been doing Stake business for the past 3 Sundays in a row (still a lot more work to do, unfortunately) so I've been going to church alone with Dax. This week my car wouldn't start, though, so the two of us stayed home. My mechanic has the car now, hopefully this will be the last time I'm stranded this winter due to car trouble.
