Okay, so Dax has now been on solid foods for a couple weeks. He's definitely surprised me with how much food he wants to eat. My sister says, "He's a growing boy!!"
(Oh, and he's outgrown all his 12-month clothes now and some of his 18-month stuff is starting to get snug in the torso)
I haven't been following "rules" about food introduction aside from holding off on "danger" foods (cow's milk, nuts, eggs, etc.)
And, um, well, he's had a LOT of food already.
Foods Dax has eaten (not in this order):
steamed asparagus
crock pot pinto beans
boiled broccoli
boiled cauliflower
baked sweet potato (cut into fries)
mashed sweet potato
crock pot roast beef
pureed roast beef w/ broth (he preferred it not pureed)
crock pot chicken
boiled peeled apple
avocado
banana
pear
boiled green beans
boiled brussels sprouts
oatmeal (had to grind oats before cooking, he couldn't handle oatmeal texture when I tried it cooking it regular)
organic brown rice baby cereal (the only "baby food" in my house, and his least favorite food, ha ha ha)
cooked carrots
peach
frozen grapes (in mesh feeder)
cantaloupe (oops, forgot this was "acidic" food and let him have a few slices of it, but he fortunately had no reaction to it)
Planning to wait until he's 8 months old to introduce dairy products (although not milk) like cheese & yogurt. Also plan to wait that long for pasta & wheat & egg yolks.
I want to feed him barley, but I keep forgetting. I'd also like to give him some white fish & acorn/butternut squash but that means I need to buy them.
He loves food, and I've pretty much just been sharing whatever I eat (as long as it's age-appropriate) with him. So he's had much more of some of these foods than others. Like, at least 6 meals of pinto beans, yum yum! :)
I started meat this week at my pediatrician's advice, due to the higher iron content... and so far Dax loves chicken & beef. Oh, I also tried to give him sardines when I was having a can, but he wanted nothing to do with it, kept spitting it out. His loss. Mmmmm.... sardines. You can't really enjoy the snow without eating sardines (family tradition)!

no need to wait on the yogurt. it has the enzyme lactase, which digests lactose (milk sugar).
