Weight 16 pounds (absolute guess)
Length 26" (roughly measured)
Clothing Size 3-6 month & 6-month (Oh, but still wears newborn pants, since his legs are disproportionately short compared to his long torso, like his father)
Pics of cuteness below cut!
Cute froggy diaper, and look at Dax's muscles. The necklace is raw amber and seems to help his teething pain.
Eating/Sleeping During the day he eats every hour, sometimes will go as long as 2 hours (seldom). Naps once or twice a day for 10 to 50 minutes. At night he sleeps in 3, 4, & 5 hour increments. Dax loves nursing and typically stops hunger crying when I simply pick him up (but not when anybody else picks him up when hungry, ha ha).
Grinning, babbling, and playing baby piano.
Developmental Milestones Moves fingers independently instead of everything being fists only (like, he can stuff 1 or 2 fingers into his mouth now), can sit pretty well when lightly supported, can stay in crawl position on hands and knees, brings toys to mouth, reaches for objects with hands, babbles a LOT, drooling a TON and going through many bibs to stay dry.
I spy Daddy's eye
Daddy moment While I was at the church teaching a group of 8 to 11-yr-old girls how to sew on buttons, Daddy came to pick up Dax so that he wouldn't be needing my attention while I was in charge of the 13 girls. Daddy took Dax to the nearby strip mall and proudly walked around with him. They wandered into the book store, where Dax was read several baby books. Daddy decided the pile of books we had at home was simply not enough, and came home with a bag full of another 5 cardboard baby books. Methinks Dax has him wrapped around his cute little finger.
Dax has started a "polite cough" when he wants attention. He'll be playing or babbling and I'll walk away. After a bit, I'll hear him cough once or twice. It's as if he is saying "*ahem* I'm still here come pay attention to me!" If I ignore his polite little cough, then he escalates it into actively calling for me. He's so clever. :) He fusses when his mobile winds down and stops moving - but only if I'm not in the room. If I'm in the room, he just looks over at me and waves his arms.

Hey Jessie! I didn't realize you had a blog! So fun to get some updates on how Dax (and you and Albert) are doing. That's so funny about the polite coughing. Emma totally used to do that! I was reading about "gifted" babies one day around then and the book said that one of the things gifted babies do at that age is communicate in ways other than crying. I thought, "HA! Emma coughs to communicate! She's totally gifted!" Ha ha!
